These sessions are focused on sparring (boxing not kick-boxing). These sessions will be highly supervised. Once again bullies will not be tolerated.
Sparring is not meant to be carried out at 100% of your effort, so you are not trying to knock each others heads off! Each participant has the right to refuse sparring with any other individual.
So if you want the practice...BE NICE!
- Fitness Level: Intermediate to advanced trainers.
Boxing Exp Level:
Intermediate – advance
You'll need to have done our old school boxing sessions or defense work prior to sparring.
- Notes: Each session will run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 people. Sessions will run between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on session numbers.
Mouth guards are essential.
You will need to take the required forms to your doctor to get a medical that states you are "fit to box" before you can join in on the sparring sessions.
Bookings are essential! (Position is secured when full payment has been made).
All participants under the age of 18 have to have their parent or guardian come in the week prior to their first session to sign the waiver. You must have done the partner work class , or have done the level 1 boxing course we ran previously before you can participate in the sparring sessions.
$20 casual / $15 members (per session), paid in advance (before
close the previous day at the latest).
Cost is non refundable as session size is limited and last minute cancellations may cause others to miss out!
This session is not included in your monthly class membership. (Add $3 sweat towel hire if you don't have your own).
